The Casa Italia pizzeria and pastificcio is one of Liverpool's longest established eateries celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

Located within the Beatlestoric Cavern quarter of the city, it is situated close by some of the city's liveliest nightlife and most up-market shopping. Marco Campolucci-Bordi, operator of the restaurant describes the overall concept of Casa Italia as, "A Bustling neighbourhood restaurant, slap bang in the middle of the city." Commenting on the diverse range of clientele which this popular venue attracts Mr. Campolucci-Bordi said: "We welcome all residents of the city from their apartments, homes or offices, as well as local shoppers and of course visitors from outside." Over the past three decades the likes of Paul McCartney, Liam Gallagher, Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams have graced Casa Italia's tables to sample a pizza the action plus many football heroes such as Ian Rush.

The Casa Italia is a popular place both day and night, open from 12pm until 10pm without closing, which makes it perfect for a light lunch or an evening meal. The food is simple yet tasty, and prepared using only the finest Italian ingredients. All food is prepared on the premises right down to the home-made pizzas. Typical dishes include pizzaiolo style bread brushed with garlic butter, platters of antipasti, such as Salami with slithers of Parma Ham, and various types of sausage and Salami, Penne with pancetta, tomato and mascarpone, and an array of pizzas including the Calzone which is a folded pizza stuffed with tomato, mozzarella, and prosciutto. There is an extensive wine list comprising of at least 20 different varieties of wine from all over Italy.
